THE FALL OF MAN Part 2

^{ROMANS 1:26-32}

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

• Man is given to vile affections vv.26-27 Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
• Given to a reprobate mind v.28  Job 21:14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.
• Filled with unrighteousness vv.29-30 Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
  • Fornication 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
  • Evil/Covetousness/Malice 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
  •  Murder/Strife Matthew 5:22 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
  • Deceit/Gossips/slanderers Proverbs 16:28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.
  •  Haters of God/despiteful/proud/boasters 2 Timothy 3:2 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
• Without understanding vv. 30-31
  • Inventors of evil/ disobedient to parents 2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,    
• Covenant Breakers w/o natural affection. Heartless/unmerciful James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth how to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

• Knowing the consequences still do these things v. 32 Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life…
